To begin with, break up 7 Oz. (200 gms) of cottage cheese with a fork and put it into a bowl. Now, take an egg and add 2 tablespoons of sugar, 1 teaspoon of vanilla and beat the mixture well.
Then, add in the crushed cottage cheese and 3 Oz. (70 gms) of flour and combine it well. Make dough out of the mixture and dust it with flour to make sure it doesn’t stick to your hands.
Next, boil some water and meanwhile, create small balls from the dough. Drop the vareniki into the boiling water.
Take out when they are swelled up and cooked. Scoop out one by one and serve on a plate with your favourite topping.
