Ingredients

600g Minced Beef
1 Onion
1/3 Bunch Parsley
1 Egg
42g Dry Bread Crumbs 1/3 Cup
2 Garlic Cloves
1 Tsp. Salt
1/2 Tsp. Black pepper
1/2 Tsp. Paprika
Red Chili Pepper
For the Sauce
1 Onion Large
3 Garlic Cloves
1/2 Red Chili Pepper Optional
600g Tomato Sauce
600 ml Water
7-8 Basil Leaves
Salt and Pepper to Taste
1 Tbsp. Sugar

First, finely chop 1 onion and a bunch of parsley. Then, place 600 grams or 21.16 oz. of minced beef in a mixing bowl and add in the chopped onions, parsley, 2 crushed garlic cloves, 1/3 cup of dried bread crumbs, a teaspoon each of salt, black pepper and paprika.

Next, crack an egg into the mixture and mix until fully combined. Take some amount of meat and make small balls. Continue making until finished.

Now, fry these balls in batches on a medium flame for about 1-2 minutes. Flip and turn over for another 1-2 minutes until the balls changes their colour. After a couple of minutes, remove the meatballs using a slotted spoon and place them on a paper towel.

Now, it’s time to prepare the tomato sauce. For this, you need to chop 1 large onion and put them into the pan. Sauté the onions until they turn golden brown.

Next, slice ½ a red chilli pepper, 3 garlic cloves and 7-8 basil leaves. Meanwhile, stir the onions again and add each of chopped chilli pepper and garlic to the pan. Mix and cook it well. Later, add 600 grams or 21.16 oz. of tomato sauce to the mixture. Fill the tomato sauce can with water (about 600 ml) and then pour it into the pan.

Further, add 2 tablespoons of tomato paste to the sauce and stir well. Add 1 teaspoon of salt, ½ a teaspoon of black pepper, ½ a teaspoon of paprika, chopped basil leaves, and stir again. Drop the meatballs into the tomato sauce one by one. Pour the tomato sauce over the meatballs and bring the sauce to a boil.

Cook it covered for about 30-40 minutes on low heat. Remove the lid and stir occasionally. After half an hour, turn off the heat and serve the meatballs hot.
