To begin with this incredibly sweet and flavoured Afghani dessert, you need to heat 3 cups of full-fat milk over medium heat. To this, add ½ a cup of sweetened condensed milk and bring the milk to simmer. Once the milk rises up, remove from the heat.
Next, take a frying pan and melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Once the butter starts melting, add in 2 tablespoons of sliced almonds, 2 tablespoons of sliced pistachios, 2 tablespoons of walnuts, ½ a teaspoon of cardamom powder and 3 dates finely sliced. Roast the dry fruits well.
Now, add in 1 cup of seviya and roast it along with the dry fruits on low heat for 3 to 4 minutes.
Later, add in the milk and simmer for another 3 to 4 minutes. Add sugar to taste and stir occasionally. Then, remove from the heat and serve it hot.
