First, bring the milk to a boil in a deep pot. In the meantime, roughly pound the green cardamoms. Remove the cardamom skin and put the crushed seeds into the milk. Stir it well.
Now, take 4 tablespoons of cornflour in a bowl and add in ½ a cup of cold milk. Stir the mixture until lump-free. Remember to keep an eye on the boiling milk.
Now, add in 1 tablespoon of rose water to the milk and stir until fragrant. Once the milk starts boiling, reduce the heat and add in the cornflour solution to the milk.
Continue stirring the milk while pouring in the corn flour mixture gradually. Once cooked, transfer the firni to the serving tray and decorate with pistachios as you like.
